Everything is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
– 2 Corinthians 5:18
Eliza Broadus was a key figure in the development of the Women’s Missionary Union, or WMU. Every year, Mt. Roberts is blessed to support local mission work throughout the state of Kentucky through the special offering that bears her name.
Every year, we honor the life and legacy of Annie Walker Armstrong, who led women to unite in missions endeavors that ultimately led to the creation of the WMU. Our offering helps support mission work throughout North America.
Lottie Moon was a Southern Baptist missionary to China, spending nearly 40 years in the country as she shared the Gospel. Our participation in this special offering helps support mission work across the globe.
Every Spring, Mt. Roberts Baptist Church provides a good time for our children as they search for hidden goodies across our grounds. But more importantly, we use the opportunity to share the story of Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection.
Every July, we hold our annual Back to School Party as one of our Family Night highlights. Mt. Roberts works hard to help the children of our church by providing them with school supplies and gift cards as they begin a new school year.
Mt. Roberts Baptist Church participates with the community “Trunks of Treats” program, offering all sorts of goodies to the children and youth that come through, as well as Bible tracts that share the truth about Christ.
In an effort to minister and be a blessing to some our members who ordinarily can’t join us on Sundays, as well as to our local nursing homes, Mt. Roberts carols and delivers fruit baskets throughout the community.
Every week, deacons and other members of our church help distribute food to those in need at our local food pantry.
